Binding: Contemporary sprinkled calf, gilt spine, red sprinkled edges. Corners and spine worn, headcap chipped, top compartment of spine damaged where a shelf label has been removed.
Provenance: Etienne Recamier (1833–1898) with bookplate 'Bibliotheque Lyonnaise 1858–1893 d'Etienne Recamier'. Recamier also had a collection of coins and medals which was sold in 1905. Later bookseller's label 'Librairie Ecclesiastique de Toulouse & Taranne, 33, R. Casette, Paris'.
