A nicely written elementary course in arithmetic under a provincial French master, one Reumon whom I have not identified. The usual topics are covered, the basic arithmetical operations, some accountancy and business methods, ending with ‘Regle de compagnie’ (fellowship). But the blank pages with ruled borders at the end suggest that the student failed to finish writing out his lessons.
